As always, the show from Lena Hoschek was a blast from the past, with designs that provoked refences to war time feminity and undertones of rockabilly chic.

Models first appeared on the floral catwalk to the sounds of Edith Piaf, wearing perfectly placed berets and feminine shapes. Sporting black lace and dark lips, the collection gave a nod to French vintage and wartime romance, which had me picturing smokey wartime bars and the beautiful girls flanking the arms of heroic soldiers.

Of course the pin curled hair and seamed stockings were both present and Hoschek’s use of knee high DM’s really gave a modern edge of ‘Lolita gone bad’.

What a treat.
